TheOB2263 is a highly integrated current-mode PWM control chip optimized for high efficiency, low standby power consumption, and cost-effective use in offline flyback converters under 30W.The PWM switching frequency in normal operation is externally programmable and tuned to a narrow range. Under no-load or light-load conditions, the chip operates in extended burst mode to minimize switching losses. This achieves lower standby power consumption and higher conversion efficiency.Low VDD inrush current and low operating current contribute to reliable power startup in the circuit with OB2263. A high-value resistor can be used in the startup circuit to minimize standby power consumption. Internal bias compensation improves system stability at high signals and reduces possible sub-harmonic oscillations at high PWM signal fill factor at the output.Current sensor (CS) input edge cutting eliminates signal interference caused by the damping circuit diode recovery phenomenon and thus significantly reduces the number of external components and system costs in the design.TheOB2263 offers comprehensive protection with an automatic self-correcting function, including cycle-by-cycle current limitation (OCP), overload protection (OLP), VDD voltage clamp and under-threshold voltage lockout (UVLO). The gate control output is buckled to a maximum voltage of 18V to protect the power MOSFET transistor.Excellent EMI performance is achieved with a proprietary On-Bright frequency tuning technique combined with soft-switching control on the totem-pole gate control output. . .
