The introduction into service of cylinders with higher pressures creates the need for new regulators, the cost of which is very quickly compensated by the prolonged operation of the cylinder and simplifies storage management. The use of reducers, fuses at the welding fuse and at the reducer is obliged by the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of April 27, 2000 on health and safety in welding work (Journal of Laws 2000 No. 40 item 470): § 21.Whenever welding equipment is supplied with gas taken from a source where the gas pressure is variable or greater than the rated supply pressure of the receiver, a pressure regulator must be used at the point of consumption. § 23.1 In the case of supplying the welding device with combustible gas taken from a cylinder battery, from a cylinder bundle, from a gas generator or from a pipeline, a fuse shall be used at each gas consumption point. § 23.2 In the case of supplying oxygen-gas burners with gases taken from cylinders, fuses located at the inlet or inside the burner shall be used. This requirement does not apply to cutting oxygen lines in burners intended for cutting. § 24 Fuses shall be used in accordance with their purpose, type of gas and rated pressures and flows.
