The BRYMEN BM 869s meter with USB offers a multitude of functions, including measurement of conductivity (nS), attenuation (dBm), current loop (4~20mA), two-channel temperature measurement and extreme ranges of other quantities. The BM 869s introduces a new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) function for simultaneous voltage and frequency measurement dedicated to measuring most inverter drives in the voltage range of 5~1000V and frequency range of 5~440Hz. The BM 869s measures the actual rms value of AC currents and voltages, also with a DC component (TRMS AC+DC) in the frequency band of 20Hz~100kHz for voltages and 40Hz~100kHz for currents. The instrument has a dual backlit LCD display with a 41-segment high-speed bargraph. The first display counts to 50,000 max (99,999 for Hz) with 5x/s sampling and is switchable to 500,000 max (for DCV measurement); the auxiliary display counts to 9999 max. The algorithms used enable interesting combinations of readings of the measured quantities. In addition to the typical simultaneous display of ACV + Hz, ACA + Hz, dBm + Hz, Hz + %Duty, it is possible to simultaneously read DCV +ACV, (DCV+ACV) + ACV, DCA + ACA, (DCA+ACA) + ACA, thus viewing the DC and AC component of the True RMS value or the AC component against the total True RMS value (AC+DC)and other combinations of measured quantities. A high degree of safety (CAT IV 1000V), surge protection (12kV) and overload protection on all ranges allows the instruments to be used in industry and power generation, even in the most extreme conditions, while ensuring the safety of measurements and full protection against damage.
