EASY X4 sequence controller
Many compressed air stations consist of several compressors: EasyX4 is a weekly programmable controller that allows up to four compressors to be configured based on actual compressed air demand. EasyX4 is the simplest solution for operating and monitoring complex compressor systems with up to four compressors - at a constant speed. Programming is intuitive. All you need to do is set four pressure ranges (if four is the number of units connected), and then define at what time the entire compressor station should be turned on and off, at what pressure each compressor should run. Three levels of programming: MANUAL: Compressors are set to a preset operating pressure range AUTOMATIC: Pressure ranges are changed after a programmable time interval GROUP PROGRAMMING: Compressors can be switched within groups Function Description:. When the EASY X4 Sequence Controller is powered up, the system turns on the power and sets the operating conditions that existed at the time of shutdown: "Standby" or "Active". In "Stand-by" mode, the compressors are not turned on and only this mode allows access to the menu by pressing the [OK] button. On the other hand, in "active" mode, the EASY X4 sequence controller releases the compressors according to the modes and times specified by the active program, based on the pressure present in the system and sensed by the pressure transducer. In the "stand-by" mode, pressing the Start (I) key causes the EASY X4 sequence controller to enter the state initialization state. If the system pressure drops below the value entered in the [MinPrint] parameter, the value set by [Weight. Compr:], the specified compressor will be turned on for the time corresponding to the [Fill time:] parameter (these parameters can be accessed through the [Settings] menu, see the "Setting functions" section). This allows the system to be filled when it is empty (a typical example is turning it on every morning), using a single compressor and without having to turn on all machines connected to the EASY X4 sequence controller. Once the filling time has elapsed, the EASY X4 sequence controller executes the programs entered by the operator depending on the pressure and the program active at that day and time. All machine status information is displayed on the main screen. Possible states are: stand-by, pressurized, empty, off and in alarm. See "Home screen page" for a description of the symbols that show these states. A fault occurs when the EASY X4 Sequence Controller does not receive status feedback from the remote commander of the active compressor (see the "Installation" section for more information on the type of message), within the parameters set using the [Time Back:] parameter available in the [Settings. To avoid simultaneous start-up of several compressors, the [Start Delay:] parameter can be used to set the start-up of two consecutive compressors with an intermediate time delay. In this way, electrical overload can be avoided. The EASY X4 Sequence Controller can be switched to "stand-by" at any time by pressing the Stop (O) button. All compressors then go into stand-by and stop after the rest time set on the respective machine or on the local controller. Refer to the compressor manufacturer's documentation to read or change this value. When the control unit is not powered, the compressor control contacts remain closed, that is, the compressors are turned on. This is an emergency function that ensures the operation of the compressors also when the EASY X4 sequential controller is not powered for external reasons (power interruption, etc.). The compressors are operated according to the pressure values given directly by the individual controllers or pressure gauges. To read or change these values, consult the documentation of the compressors. The operating pressure ranges that are set directly on the individual compressor controllers or pressure gauges must exceed the pressure ranges set on the EASY X4 sequence controller. This excludes overlaps in the operating logic of the EASY X4 sequence controller. In addition, this ensures "emergency operation" of the compressor in case of failure of the EASY X4 sequence controller. For example, if pressure ranges from 8.8 bar to 9.7 bar are set on the EASY X4 sequence controller, the minimum pressure values set on the compressor regulators or pressure switches must be below 8.7 bar, and the maximum values must exceed 9.8 bar. In any case, however, the pressure loss between the pressure prevailing at the location of the EASY X 4 sequence regulator converter and the pressure measured by the compressor converters must be taken into account. Example: If a pressure drop of 0.4 bar is measured between the installation position of the EASY X4 sequence regulator converter and the compressors during system operation (with no compressed air flow, the pressure loss is zero), taking the above example into account, it would be necessary to use compressors with a pressure higher by 0.4 bar. Therefore, the maximum operating pressure of the compressors should be set to a value exceeding 10.2 bar (9.8 + 0.4). This pressure could exceed the maximum operating pressure of the compressors themselves.. Max. consumption at 24 V AC: 200. Max. relay current: 8
