3M PELTOR X3 series test ear muff cushions, 393-3003-2 The 3M PELTOR Optime Test Earmuff Cushions feature a probe channel that allows workers to test the individual fit of 3M PELTOR Optime earmuffs. The 3M PELTOR earmuff test cushions work with 3M PELTOR X-Series earmuffs (sold separately) and allow the fit to be tested using the 3M E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation system. The system gives a pass or fail rating based on the individual attenuation rating (PAR) of a worker wearing 3M PELTOR X-Series earmuffs.These ear cushions are used in conjunction with 3M PELTOR X-Series earmuffs, allowing employers to determine the level of protection provided by the earmuffs. Employees can take the 3M PELTOR X-Series earmuffs used in the workplace, have the operator remove and inspect the cushions, replace them with the appropriate test cushions and test for fit.Using the test cushions, the 3M E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation system measures the effectiveness of hearing protection inside the worker's ear, providing accurate, qualitative results. These test cushions are for use with the system only and are not suitable for use as hearing protectors. They are reusable and can be maintained and cleaned with 3M Peltor wipes.
