. Description. Application and USE The UEP-450 holder is fully insulated. The electrode is clamped between the current insert and the clamping lever. The current insert has the ability to rotate around its axis. A rotary welder with a secondary current of up to 500 A can be used as a DC source. The chuck is designed for electro-air gouging with ESM-256 round carbon electrodes in the sub-bottom and wall position. It is widely used in metallurgy for ingot machining, reconditioning large parts, removing defective weld sections, beveling sheet metal, etc. Use air pressure from 0.3 - 0.8 MPa depending on the desired gouging conditions. Put the electrode so that its useful length is 150 mm.
