In;terms of function, this corresponds to two normal I/O modules whose inputs and outputs are cross-connected. W;in this way, data exchange between any two controllers of up to ten words (160 bits) per cycle is possible via INTERBUS. The data width can be set freely from one Byte up to ten words using the knob (Byte configuration is only possible for Generation 4 connections). The selected data word (Byte) is displayed on a 7-segment indicator.Modules are installed directly on the INTERBUS remote bus. In the case of the IBS CT 24 IO GT-T module, the bus connection is made via a MINI-COMBICON connector. The fiber-optic variant IBS CT 24 IO GT-LK has an F-SMA plug.The modules have bus chains with separated potentials and in redundant power supply from a 24 V circuit.There are 16 status LEDs assigned to each of the bus chains for displaying signal status.Using a button on the module, the current word or Output Byte can be displayed for each of the remote buses. The output information of one bus is simultaneously the input information of the other.
